By the tenth month of wedding planning, hopefully you have all your vendors set for your wedding day, and all contracts from your vendors secured in a wedding-oriented folder (if it is just labeled “Wedding Folder” that will do too).
If you do not have all your vendors in place, that is ok. There were components of our wedding not planned until the last 2-3 months. For example, we did not have our cocktail reception music chosen (we decided on an a capella quartet from our alma mater), and we were unsure if we would have doves during our ceremony or butterflies. Therefore, it can be beneficial to have an organizer like the wedding organizer below to keep track of potential vendors, contracts, questions to ask vendors, and many more ideas!
How did we find most of our vendors? Through a local Bridal Show. The Bridal Show we attended offered so many options when it came to vendors, and we booked our florist, wedding cake designer, string quartet, DJ and videographer within one week of the bridal show – if not at the bridal show.
With This Favor recommends having most, if not all, wedding vendors in place by at least two months from wedding date.
The reason behind this is to help minimize any additional stress in this critical wedding planning period of time.
Best Wishes and Happy Planning!

Photography Tip: When choosing a photographer for your wedding, try if you can to get one that doesn’t hold copyright to your images after the wedding. This will allow you to have all your photos on cd or dvd at high resolution so yo are able to run off any extra prints you want after the event by yourself and not be paying extortionate amounts through the photographer. Some photographers will give you low resolution images that cant be printed with watermarks to stop you from doing this, so its important that you try to negotiate all your photos are in high resolution without copyright. So choose your photographer wisely.
Karl – You are exactly right… We did not consider this with our wedding photographer. After the wedding, we realized that a CD with all the pictures and copyright privileges was going to be an additional $500! Thank you for the great tip to all of our brides.
